Reliance launched BigMaps.com, local search service, on GSM network. BigMaps.com claims to have over 20 million geoc-tagged buildings across India.
This service is available only to Reliance Communications users over SMS, WAP and download medium, With BigMaps, subscribers to search across business, directions, events and movies. The maps can be zoomed up to 15 zoom levels and the services aim to provide real time landmark based routing.
According to BIGMaps.com, you can log in to the site, and updates the website with details in your locality, provide details about your favorite store, add events taking place in the city and mark your school and colleges on the Big Maps. You can create communities to share information with those making your city their home
